Creative Wales is an online project for the promotion of the Creative Sectors in Wales.

Beginning with a blog style website about Art, Design and Media in Wales. We aim to provide the latest information about the sector, artists, designers and other stuff happening in Welsh Art, Design and Media.

It is our ultimate goal to raise the awareness of the many creative people and organisations located in Wales, with a view to conveying a greater message to first the rest of the United Kingdom and globally.

This idea began in 2006 with the launch of Naked Wales, which had a similar goal. We even publish two magazines and hosted a handful of successful social events bringing artists and designers together. The latest took place during the 2009 Cardiff Design Festival in the form of a Pub Quiz.

Now in 2010 we have decided that perhaps the Naked Wales brand was a little misunderstood and in an effort to be taken a little more seriously we’ve renamed to Creative Wales.

We hope our new website will be thought of as the news site for individuals, organisations and other groups working within the creative sectors in Wales. Its been developed using Drupal, which will allow us to bring new features to our users periodically as the overall content develops.

The only other thing to mention is that we’re relying submissions from you to make the site interesting and raise the awareness of Wales’ Creative Sectors.

Any submission should include at lease one image and a short paragraph with details of the submission.
